PROS and CONS:

Advantages:

Here we have a clever patio door security lock, which will greatly improve the security of the majority of double doors, such as French Doors, Patio Doors, and Conservatory Doors. Because it’s a retrofit device that sits around the internal handles of the door it is an effective visual deterrent too!

Limitations:

This is a secondary locking device and should not be considered as a sole means of protection.

Although the initial setup is quite straight forward, some very basic DIY skills are needed for this (full instructions are supplied).

This security lock for French doors is designed for use on doors with double handles (see photos). IT WILL NOT WORK ON DOORS WITH SINGLE HANDLES. Note: If your set of doors only has one handle, you can easily fit a dummy handle to the other door to use Patlock).
